In 2012, VIDEA's International Aboriginal Internship Program provided 10 Aboriginal interns with international work experience and career-skills, raising awareness of international development in Canada, and improving host organisations' capacity to ensure healthy futures for at-risk youth in Zambia and Uganda. The internships were undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), The CAW Social Justice Fund, and VIDEA.
The interns left for Africa mid February 2012, where they worked with their host organisations for four months, and then returned to Canada mid June 2012. Follow their journeys through their blogs below!
